The Training Tribe has two principal directors. Tim is the full time employee and Jo advices on a part time basis. The company was formed in 2001 and is based in Shropshire, England.

Joanne Bentham B.A. (Hons), PGCE, M.A.(Education and Industry)

Jo graduated with a degree in European Business and began working for Dun and Bradstreet Ltd as a business analyst.  Following a PGCE in Business / Economics she started her teaching career in a sixth form college in Birmingham.  The last fourteen years have been spent as Head of Business Education at King Edward VI High School in Stafford where she is also Student Learning Manager for the Chetwynd VI Form Centre – a shared sixth form centre within the Stafford sixth form collegiate.  Jo has been actively involved in the development of vocational education opportunities at Key Stage 4 and at Key Stage 5. 

Jo also has experience in writing textbooks and the development of the BBC GCSE Business Studies Bitesize programme.  She is currently researching into the development of language and literacy in business education for a PhD.

Tim Bentham BSc Eng (Hons), Diploma Business Administration

Tim is a Production Engineering graduate and spent the first 15 years of his working life in the manufacturing sector. He started in the steel industry working in production planning. Eventually he became a consultant delivering IT scheduling solutions to companies making everything from pork pies to gearboxes. During this time he became involved in helping PHD science students examine their transferable skills and explore more career opportunities. In 2001 with Jo he set up TRIBE to work full time in the Skills training industry.
